Youth Projects

Lions have a number of projects and competitions that are designed for young people. Not only Leos, but all young people within the community. These projects include:

Young Leaders in Service

For further information please see this page.

Peace Poster Competition

The Peace Poster Contest was created in 1988 to give young people the opportunity to creatively express their feelings for world peace and to share their visions with the world.  Approximately 350,000 children from more than 65 countries participate in the contest annually. For further information please see this page.

Young Ambassadors Program

The aim of the scheme, which operates throughout Europe, is to recognise, encourage and support young people who are actively involved in the welfare of the community, supporting the best of our Lions’ ideals. In previous years, candidates have been involved in helping young and older people, disabled, able-bodied and disadvantaged and have organised projects in conservation, crime prevention, promoting healthier lifestyles, hospital radio and other initiatives. For further information please see this page.

Life Skills - Tacade

Lions Clubs in the British Isles and Ireland wish to see that our young people receive the best possible education in the development of the skills which enable them to avoid the social problems that they may encounter during their school life. Consequently we have formed a partnership over 25 years with ‘Tacade', a leading not-for-profit charity. For further information please see this page.
